Ridgerunners
The Ridgerunners will hold their monthly meeting at the cottage of Sharon & Ed Baines on Wednesday, Aug. 6. Please meet at the church at 11:30 AM to carpool. Food and beverage will be provided.
You are invited to join the Ridgerunners for a bus trip to Rainbow Dinner Theater on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 to see the show “Barefoot In The Park.” Rainbow advertises that: We don't know if it's true that his first comedies are best. We do know that Barefoot In The Park -- one of his first -- is one of the finest and funniest and wonder fullest comedies ever written by Neil Simon, or by anyone else. Rainbow is proud to bring to life the story of newlyweds Corrie and Paul, as they begin their marriage and start to walk the twisty road to love and life. If you've never seen it, you must; if you have, it's time to climb up five flights and visit their tiny apartment again!
The price is $60 per person, to include a buffet lunch, the show, tax and gratuity, a motor coach ride and tip for the bus driver. The bus will leave Mt. Zion parking lot at 10:30 am and return at 4:15 pm.
This trip is open to everyone. Please bring your family, friends and neighbors. They do not have to be a member of Mt. Zion UCC. Please contact Sharon Baines as soon as possible at 757-0037 with your reservations.
Church Picnic
Mark your calendar for Mt. Zion’s Annual Church Picnic to be held on September 14, 2008 at John Rudy Park in the White and Red Pine pavilions at noon. Fun, Food, Games and Fellowship for all. A sign up sheet will be in the Narthex. The Fellowship committee will provide the famous Joe Bury burgers, hot dogs, beverages and paper products. Please bring a covered dish or dessert to share.
Mt. Zion Singles
Our August luncheon will be held on Sunday, August 3 at Manchester Café, 4302 N. George St. Extd. in Manchester. Meet us in the narthex after the 10:00 AM service to carpool or go directly to the restaurant around 11:30 AM. Hope to see you on August 3.

20:30 will be hosting another Chick Flicks. This time we are taking on an Italian theme as we enjoy the movie Enchanted April. Join us on Friday, August 15 at 6:00 at the home of Jen Cooper for an Italian style meal, movie watching, and biblical discussion. Look for a sign-up sheet in the narthex.
