February Special Benevolence Offering: Northeastern Food Pantry
Our monthly mission for February is the Northeastern Food Pantry. The pantry is located at our sister church, Starview United Church of Christ.
In 2010, they provided food to 1,120 families. They also provide limited aid for heating oil, rent, prescription drugs, etc. Their clients are mostly in the Northeastern School District and extend into the Central School District. In these hard times, the need is growing all the time. They receive some of their donations from the York Food Bank and churches in the surrounding area, including our church.
Please support this much needed mission. Thank you.

Church World Service Clean-Up KitsDuring the month of February, we will be collecting items to assemble Church World Service Clean-Up Buckets.
The supplies we collect will enable people to begin the overwhelming job of cleaning up after a flood, hurricane, tornado or other disaster. These buckets are used for disasters only in the United States.
A list of needed items follows:
Scouring pads
Sponges, assorted sizes
Scrub brushes
Cleaning towels (reusable, like Easy Wipes®
50-78 oz. boxes dry laundry detergent
12 oz. bottles of liquid concentrated household cleaner (like Lysol®)
25 oz. bottles liquid disinfectant dish soap (like Dawn®)
Packages of 48-50 clothespins
Clotheslines, two 50 ft. or one 100 ft. per kit
Dust masks
Latex gloves (like Playtex®)
Work gloves
28-bag rolls of heavy-duty trash bags (30-45 gallon)
6-9 oz. bottles of insect repellent (pump, drops or lotion, not aerosol)
We can only send the items on the list, so please be specific in what you donate. Only the requested items will fit into the bucket. A sign-up sheet will be in the narthex. Each bucket costs $3.00 to ship. If you would like to make a monetary donation to help defray the shipping costs, a donation box is located in the narthex. Our goal is to fill ten (10) buckets!
Church World Service always has a great need for these clean-up buckets so we hope you will sup-port this project to help our neighbors in the United States. Thank you.
