Lent Worship Series: On the Way: Wandering Hearts & Shared Valleys
This Lent, we are invited into a shared journey of faith shaped by place and movement. Under the theme On the Way: Wandering Hearts & Shared Valleys, our Sunday worship will follow Wandering Heart, tracing the faith journey of Peter through familiar locations like shorelines, storms, courtyards, and empty tombs. Worshippers of all ages are invited to carry a Lenten passport, receiving weekly stamps and reflection questions to help mark the journey.
Midweek, we will gather for The Valleys of Lent, a shared worship series with Mt. Zion Lutheran Church. These services remind us that valleys, no matter how hard they may be, are part of the faith landscape—and that no one is meant to wander into the valleys alone. This year, we will be walking that part of the journey together.
After Ash Wednesday, midweek services will alternate locations between congregations, beginning with a soup and sandwich meal at 6:00 PM and worship at 7:00 PM. Mt. Zion Lutheran Church is fully handicap accessible. Transportation assistance is available upon request.
On Wednesdays that we host, our church will provide the sandwiches and drinks, but we need donations of soup. Our church will be hosting the dinners and services on Wednesday, February 25th, Wednesday, March 11th, & Wednesday, March 25th. If you’d like to donate financially towards the purchase of the sandwiches, there will be a box for donations in the side narthex. You can sign up here or by calling the church office.
Come as you are. Bring your questions. And trust that God meets us wherever we find ourselves on the way.
