Music plays an important part of worship at Mt. Zion and there are many opportunities to participate.

Children’s Bell Choir

The children’s bell choir plays about once every other month. The bell choir uses the Krystal Bell method, which is a color coded method, so it is quick and easy to pick up and play. The only commitment is to come to a short warm-up/rehearsal on the day that the bell choir is playing. The children’s bell choir is often joined by parents and adults as an intergenerational choir. Children’s Choir

The goal for children’s choir during the program year is to have the children’s choir sing with the worship choir about twice a year and on their own for Christmas Eve, Youth Sunday, and other special Sundays. The music that is used is often familiar hymns or songs the children know. Practices are held during children’s events such as Sunday Funday. Mt. Zion UCC Choir

Worship Choir

The Worship Choir rehearses and performs weekly during the program year. The choir performs a weekly anthem for Sunday services and leads the congregation in hymns. In addition to Sunday services, the Worship Choir collaborates with other local music organizations in worship and performance two or three times a year. We welcome all who wish to lift their voice in song as a part of the Mt. Zion UCC Worship Choir. Praise Team

The Praise Team rehearses and performs approximately once a month during the program year. The Praise Team is a contemporary music ensemble, composed of vocalists and instrumentalists from the congregation. The Praise Team welcomes performers of all ages and experience levels. Bell Choir

The Bell Choir rehearses and performs several times during the program year. The Bell Choir welcomes ringers from various musical abilities in 8th grade through adults. Each Bell Choir performance is different, as each musical selection requires a different number of bells to be rung. If you think the Mt.
