Youth Ministry
Youth Ministry at Mt. Zion is engaging, faith building, and service learning for students in grades 7 through 12.
Engaging
Youth Group focuses on deepening relationships amongst the youth and youth mentors. Youth get togethers are often a combination of recreation and discussion based learning.
Faith Building
A place where youth can ask questions, express doubt and build stronger faith.
Service Learning
Youth are an active part of the Mt. Zion congregation, encouraged to participate in all aspects of church life and their contributions are valued and affirmed. Youth participate in service opportunities that benefit the community. Service opportunities include baking cookies for Mr. Sandy’s Homeless Veteran Center, conducting a Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser and a pretzel sale at Oktoberfest, and planning Youth Sunday.

Youth Group
For students in grades 7-12, youth group meets twice a month. Activities are held on site or occasionally in the community. We start our meetings with dinner and conversation about the week and move into a time of games and faith development. If you are interested in participating in Youth Group, as a student or mentor, please contact Pastor Amy.
Confirmation
Confirmation is typically for students in grades 7 and 8 and is a time when youth begin to “make their faith their own.” It is a time of growing and questioning, learning and experiencing what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ and to become a part of the Body of Christ, which is the church. Our confirmation program involves Sunday morning meetings once a month as well as quarterly retreats. For more information, please contact us.
